How to pack your Moving boxes like a pro?

Here are seven important “rules” to remember to pack your boxes correctly.

  1. Make sure your boxes are sufficiently sturdy.
Lifting a box and having everything tumble out the bottom and perhaps shatter or get damaged is the last thing you want to happen. Make sure your boxes are securely fastened, especially the ones that will hold bulkier things. To achieve this, use some high-quality packing tape to create a cross on the bottom of the boxes to reinforce them.

  1. Spread the weight of bulky objects.
Don’t overfill a single box with too many heavy objects, even if you have reinforced them. These will not only make the boxes more difficult to transport, but you run the risk of the box collapsing from an excessive weight. Mixing heavy and lighter things in each box will help to spread the load.

  1. Put Heavy objects on the box’s bottom.
In general, the heaviest objects in your boxes ought to be put near the bottom. Your boxes will stack a little more easily if you put items like books, files, dishes, and other kitchenware near the bottom of the box. With the lightest goods at the top of the box and the least heavy objects in the middle, you must work in layers.

  1. Make space for paddings
You must make sure your boxes have enough space for padding if you want to guarantee that all of your household goods arrive at your new home intact. You can use bubble wrap, butcher’s paper, or crumpled newspaper to offer some cushioning and protection to the objects inside the boxes. Towels, blankets, and sheets are among the various things you might use as padding when relocating.

  1. Keep your breakables apart
Glasses and kitchenware should be packed separately in their own boxes with lots of padding surrounding them after being carefully wrapped. Avoid packing too much or putting hefty things in these boxes with delicate ones.

  1. Use plastic bags to keep liquids safe
You don’t want unintentional spills to happen when you’re moving items like cleaning supplies, hair care products, or liquid soaps. You can prevent untidy spills by placing these things in plastic bags and tightly sealing them.

  1. Give your boxes clear labels
Make sure you properly mark your boxes when you have completed packing them. Make sure to label any fragile goods as such, such as “FRAGILE” or “THIS WAY UP.” Additionally, indicate on the box where room in your new home it should be unpacked in. Your movers will find this information helpful, and it will also help you with the unpacking process.
