Around Town Moving & Delivery

FAQ

The cost of a residential move depends on a variety of factors including the size of your home and the distance being travelled. Our rates are competitive, and we are committed to providing you with the best service for your budget.
Movers do not move hazardous materials, such as paint, gasoline, or other flammable liquids. If you are unsure whether an item is hazardous, please consult your local moving regulations before scheduling a move.
If something is damaged during your move, we understand how disheartening this can be. Our movers take great care in handling your belongings and are trained to properly pack and transport items, but accidents do happen. In the event that something is damaged, we offer comprehensive coverage options to help protect your possessions.
If you are packing yourself, we recommend that your items are packed prior to the mover’s arrival, and that dresser drawers have emptied, and their contents packed. Additionally, if we are moving any household appliances for you such as, stoves, washer, dryers, and refrigerators ensure that these items are disconnected from gas and water lines ahead of the mover’s arrival.
Basic furniture disassembly and assembly is included with all of our hourly rate moves and can be included with a flat rate move as well.
Yes. We can dismount your TV if it is mounted to a wall, however we are unable to mount it at the delivery location.
Prior to taking your furniture out of your home, our movers will make sure to wrap everything with extra thick moving blankets. This will protect your furniture and household from unwanted scuffs and scratches.
When you contact us we will review your inventory either by phone or through an in home estimate. From there we will be able to give you a recommendation about how many movers you need and how long your move is expected to take.
We accept cash, e-transfers, certified checks, money orders, Debit & credit cards.
